Distributed Energy helps source, evaluate, procure, install and manage solar plants for commercial and industrial businesses in emerging markets.
We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager with strong experience in Rooftop Solar Operations and Project Execution to manage projects from execution through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations and execution of Rooftop Solar projects.
- Lead site teams, contractors, vendors and technical personnel.
- Ensure projects are delivered as per scope, quality, budget and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, resources and site requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Commercial and other internal teams.
- Manage contractor and vendor performance and resolve execution issues.
- Identify project risks, bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to quality, EHS and safety standards at project sites.
- Coordinate with customers and other stakeholders for smooth project execution.
- Prepare and review project progress, operational and site reports.
- Ensure proper project documentation, completion and handover.
- Travel to project sites as required.
Mandatory Experience & Requirements
- 8–10+ years of relevant experience in Rooftop Solar.
- Strong experience specifically in Rooftop Solar Operations and Project Execution.
- Experience in executing Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Rooftop Solar projects will be preferred.
- Proven experience managing site teams, contractors, vendors and project execution activities.
- Strong understanding of project planning, execution, timelines, quality and safety.
- Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification.
- Strong communication, leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
Important Screening Criteria
Rooftop Solar Operations + Project Execution experience is mandatory.
Candidates with experience primarily in Solar O&M, Asset Management, Plant Monitoring, Wind O&M or other non-execution roles will NOT be considered.
Candidates who do not have 8–10+ years of relevant Rooftop Solar Operations and Project Execution experience should be eliminated at the CV screening stage and should not be scheduled for an interview.
